Managing Director of Blue Media awarded

Sebastian Ptak, managing director of Blue Media has been awarded  awarded a Honorary Badge of the Union of Polish Banks. The award confirms the impact of his work on the shape and functioning of the Polish banking sector.

For the past six years Sebastian Ptak has been serving as the Executive Director of the Sopot's Blue Media joint stock company. On behalf of the company he is participating in the Bank Technology Forum at the Association of Polish Banks. He became vice-president of BTF in June 2010. S. Ptak is, among others, a great supporter and promoter of non-cash circulation in Poland and the electronic invoicing system.

The badge is awarded by the APB board. It is meant to distinguish great individuals whose work affects the shape and functioning of the Polish banking sector. Badges were handed out on July the 2nd in Warsaw’s Banker Club.

The Honorary Badge is not the only account of Sebastian Ptak. In 2009 he received the title of Ambassador of the Electronic Economy, which a year later was awarded  to the Polish Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak. Blue Media itself has also been awarded - in 2008 the Association of Polish Banks granted it with a honorable mention in the Company Partner of the Year competition.

Blue Media has recently been involved in initiatives for the development of modern technology. The company is a member of the Bank Technology Forum at the Association of Polish Banks and the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunication. During its 11 years of operation, the company has received numerous awards and honors. Three times in a row, in 2006, 2007 and 2008, it took first  place in the ranking of Technology Fast 50, bringing together Central Europe's best technology companies. Twice awarded with the title of Business Gazelle (in 2007 and 2010) and Best Employer award (2008 and 2009). In 2010 Blue Media was on the lists of 500 largest and most valuable companies in the rankings of Polityka and Rzeczpospolita. It was also Poland's largest outsourcing company according to Computerworld’s TOP200 ratings.

Bank Technology Forum (BTF) at the Association of Polish Banks constituted  on April 14th, 2004, operates under the council of Electronic Banking. Associates technology companies (suppliers of banking technology) collaborating with banks and The Association of Polish Banks as part of the statutory of the APB. The direct cause of the Forum establishment was the growing need for technical cooperation between companies and banks to automate the cash market and promote non-cash operations, as well as the introduction of modern technology in the Polish banking sector.
