20 million loans for the second birthday of Kokos

The value of social loans in the second year of the service’s functioning increased by 400%. The number of users has increased almost three times. The service is increasing the amount of a maximal loan up to PLN 250,000 and of a single investment up to PLN 5,000.  

In order to celebrate its birthday the service has prepared a special promotion which will last till the end of February 2010. The promotion allows to run all the verifications available in the service,
as well as to take out a loan only for PLN 1,00.  
The second birthday of Kokos.pl is also an opportunity to introduce a new rating in the form of blue stars which may be granted to the most reliable users of the service. The borrowers with the blue rating will be able to borrow at one time as much as PLN 250,000, and the lenders to invest even PLN 5,000 in such auctions. Another element is a function made available specially for investors, i.e. ”Draw from Kokos”. That option allows to prepare a lender’s own offer with the conditions on which he or she is eager to invest their money. One more novelty is introducing a secondary market covering sale and purchase of the investments from Kokos.pl.

For two years Kokos.pl has gathered over 80 thousand users. The results gained clearly indicate that e-loans have been willingly accepted on the Polish financial market. A wide scope of the implemented instruments which verify and secure granting of a loan is one of the main factors encouraging users to use the service. Another factor is a lower cost of a loan which a borrower has to pay, as well as a higher rate of return on investment achieved by a lender. Almost one thousand of most active Kokos investors achieved yearly returns on investment between 16% and 40%, thanks to re-investing the money coming from repayment of instalments.

The service’s second birthday will be accompanied by a promotional campaign supported with the Internet media. The campaign’s scope covers over 4 million Internet users.

Kokos.pl is the biggest social lending service on the Polish market. In 2010 it plans to grant loans
