Olympic emotions in Sopot

Marcin Czajkowski and Krzysztof Kierkowski constitute a sailing team, that gained an Olympic nomination for Poland at the World Championship.
They are both members of the AZS AWFiS sport club in Gdańsk and have won the last Polish 49er Class Championship. They have on numerous occasions proved to be one of the world’s leading teams, a.o. by having won 8th position at the European Championships in 2005 and 2006.

The distinctive features of such a skiff boat used by the Olympic team are: modern design, huge sail area, and, what is the most important, high performance that allows racing against world’s class competitors.

The area at the pier of the beach in Sopot will be a place where you can have a look the champions’ sailing techniques and ask them questions regarding the boat and their preparation for the Olympics.

The presentation of the boat and its performance will be accompanied by a sailing photo exhibition in the Crooked House in Sopot.

The event will start on the 10th and will last until the 12th of August.
