New Web service of Nordea Bank Polska was created on the basis of the original CMS system elaborated and implemented by Blue Media

Implementation of a new version of the bank’s Web site, enabling amblyopic and blind Clients to use the electronic banking service, is the very first implementation of such kind in Poland and in Europe.

According to the statistic data it is nearly every third person out of 6 million handicapped people living in Poland who suffers from any kind of sight dysfunctions. This is the reason why most of them cannot use the Internet in the way people without dysfunctions do.

The solutions used in the service had to be adjusted to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) - international recommendations saying how to adjust a Web site to the needs of the handicapped.

Computer software is one of those solutions, for example a talking Web browser Inteligent Web Reader created by IVO Software from Gdynia.

Owing to the experience gained throughout many years’ co-operation between Blue Media and Bank Nordea together with IVO Software’s engagement it became a success to elaborate a pioneer, technologically advanced solution, that undoubtedly can be regarded as a breakthrough and will contribute considerably to increasing the number of active Web users in Poland.

The system will be developed successively in order to be some more accessible for handicapped users.
